How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this website and business, and only to the extent needed. These providers may store and process data outside New Zealand, including in countries whose privacy laws differ from ours. Our key providers are:
- Netlify — website hosting and contact form handling.
- MailerLite — email delivery, the guide, and the newsletter list.
- Google — application forms (Google Forms), web fonts (Google Fonts), and website analytics, where enabled.
- Substack — the newsletter, if you subscribe through that platform.
- Scheduling and booking tools — used to arrange your strategy call.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or restructure of the business.
International transfers
Because some of our providers are based overseas, your information may be transferred to and stored in other countries. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled appropriately wherever it is processed.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to function correctly and, where enabled, to understand how the site is used through analytics. Loading web fonts and embedded content may also involve third parties receiving your IP address. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work. If we introduce additional analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Newsletter and marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Enquiry and application information is kept for a reasonable period to allow us to follow up and meet our obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including using reputable providers, secure connections, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To do either, email us at hello@theselfleadershipmovement.com.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
Third-party links
Our website may link to other sites, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Substack. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
